Anantnag Authorities Demolish Alleged Terrorist Handler’s Illegal House 2025

Anantnag district administration, in coordination with the police, has demolished the illegally constructed house of Haroon Rashid Ganie, allegedly a handler for the banned terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). The property, located in Rekha Hassanpora, was built on encroached state land, which has now been reclaimed.
Crackdown on Drug Trafficking
Anantnag Police also attached properties worth ₹75 lakh belonging to two drug peddlers under the NDPS Act.
₹60 lakh worth of land and a cement plinth belonging to Tariq Ahmad Lone were seized in Satkipora.
Commercial shops worth ₹15 lakh owned by Gulzar Ahmad Rather were attached in Bijbehara.
Authorities reaffirm their commitment to eradicating drug-related crimes and curbing terror-linked activities.
IED Neutralized on Bandipora-Srinagar Road
In a separate operation, security forces successfully recovered and destroyed an IED along the Bandipora-Srinagar road, preventing a potential terror attack.
