Lt Governor Manoj Sinha Reviews Amarnath Yatra Preparations, Urges Fast-Tracking of Key Projects

Srinagar, April 3: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha chaired a crucial review meeting on Wednesday to assess the progress of infrastructure development for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025.
The meeting focused on the ongoing construction of Disaster Management and Yatri Niwas (pilgrim accommodation) complexes at multiple key locations — Baltal, Nunwan, Sidhra, and Bijbehara.
Officials from the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board (SASB) and various executing agencies provided updates on the status of these works. LG Sinha emphasized the importance of completing all major infrastructure, especially at the Baltal and Nunwan base camps, well before the Yatra begins.
He instructed all involved departments to accelerate construction activities and ensure high-quality facilities are in place to enhance the safety and comfort of the pilgrims.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Executive Officer of SASB and other senior officers from the concerned agencies.
